PALLADIO - VILLA ROTUNDA
The key word of my theory is COHERENCE. I attempted to generate a sense of coherence by the use of continuous curves, based on the plan chosen during this week's studio. It ended up obtaining a fan-like shape, which inspired me to 'spin' the building.
A problem with the plan above is the relative sizes between each spaces, that it is over-sized comparing with square house and surrounding buildings. I thought of building a few floors of the similar plan, combined with the idea of 'spinning floors', I came up with the plan below:
